We are group of seven students studying Management and Information Systems at the French University in Egypt (UFE); we have been appointed to accomplish a social and environmental development project in Egypt in the context of our third year’s annual project.
Therefore, we have decided to adopt a Philippine promising project entitled “A liter of light”. Such project focuses on houses in developing areas that are not architecturally designed to allow the entrance of the sunlight through the windows (do not even have windows). The purpose of our project is to light up one hundred of these houses using cheap and easy acquirable materials. Benefitting the refraction of sunlight in plastic bottles filled with water and some bleach from an upward position ensures the proper lighting of the room.
